Bent Spoon Games has released Girl with a Heart of, a new and unique interactive narrative game for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Set in Underfoot, a subterranean city inhabited by the Dark race, Girl with a Heart of tells the story of Raven, an eleven-year-old girl separated from her parents during an attack by the Light’s army. As her city’s defences crumble and her sense of normalcy is stripped away, Raven learns that she has a critical role in the conflict due to her unusual artificial heart. The player must take on the role of Raven and help her learn to understand her newly acquired power and make choices that affect the outcome of the story and have far-reaching consequences beyond her small town. As Raven, the player interacts with the various inhabitants of her city and must determine the best decisions to succeed using rationality and logic with multiple possible game endings tied to the player’s decisions. A unique game world is formed through stylized graphics and artwork that provide a backdrop depicting a world where darkness, not light, is the primary life source. Girl with a Heart of is a universal app and is available from the App Store for $3.
