Best Buy stores to sell iPod shuffle
Best Buy will soon begin selling Apple’s 512MB iPod shuffle in its 660 stores nationwide, according to the consumer electronic retailer’s online store. Best Buy brick-and-mortar stores apparently will not carry the 1GB iPod shuffle. However, both will be available on its online store. In fact, the 1GB model is in stock as of 4:00 p.m. PT. Best Buy stores have sold certain iPod models since 2002. In related news, Best Buy stores will also begin selling Apple’s low-cost Mac mini in the near future.

We ordered a shuffle from BB. When we ordered they were in stock and shipping. Then we get an email saying our ship date is pushed down a week. We called and were told that thier first few shipments were spoken for so we may have not even been in the 2nd or 3rd ship group. Screw BB. They shouldnt be taking orders for product they don’t have. When Circuit City sells out they pull the prduct,BB should take note.

Or, instead of pulling the product, they could note that it’s not in stock, so you could order and get in line if you wished, or opt out if not. Makes the most sense to me

Yeah,thats what I meant. BB will take 1000 orders when they might only be getting 700 shuffles in. Then,you gotta jump through hoops to cancel your order,wait 3-5 days for a refund and find a shuffle elsewhere. They’ve had coming soon for 3 weeks. I asked a guy at our BB and he had no clue as to when theyd be in store. My gf got so fed up she just ordered from Apple and said “I’ll get it when I get it”. I guess thats all one can do.
I thought a rumor site said Apple ramped up production last fall so at launch this wouldnt happen?
In reading the message boards before the Mac expo the negative comments were running 3-1 to the positive re: the flash ipod. Hmmm,seems like a whole lot of folks changed thier tune.
I also don’t like how some Apple stores are selling 6,8,15 to one person. Those guys then stick ‘em on ebay for $150 for a 512. When a hot item is relesed it should be 2 per person until the stock can catch up.

I got mine the other day at Best Buy. I justed walked in to the store and they had about 30 at the pasadena store. I think if your going to get it at Best Buy check when they have thier deliveries and just go in. Best Buy Rules!

I used to work for best buy. I wouldn’t trust any of their shipping promises. Sometimes I’d promise something for a customer that was supposed to be on the next shipment, and it wouldn’t come for a month. That is not good customer service and there was nothing I could do about it.

Hey Everyone:
I went to BB this past Sunday and was able to grab my hands on a 1GB model. The store clerck said the day they received them they immediately sold out. So they ordered more and a shipment came in last Friday. Luckily, I was able to get one and have been enjoying it since. BB is worth checking out. Who knows, you probably won’t be one of many waiting for their shuffle.
