Case-ari intros leather cases for 5G iPod, nano

imageCase-ari recently introduced a line of form-fitting leather cases for the fifth-generation iPod and iPod nano. The cases, which resemble Vaja’s iVod, offer a Nappa leather exterior, impact resistant plastic shell, felt lining, and a screen protector and removable belt clip. The cases also provide access to all controls and ports. The 5G and nano cases come in a dozen different colors—red, black, yellow, orange, light blue, tan, pink, brown, blue, grey, purple, and white. The 5G Case-ari leather case sells for $30, while the nano version is priced at $25. They can be purchased here.

Editor’s Note 1-30-2006: Kesari/Case-Ari has rebranded their company and products, and is now known as Case-Mate.

These are similar to the Itzkitz`cases as well except they were doing 4G versions.

Have they released an 5th Gen version yet?

I just received my Black From-fit Leather case from Case-Ari for my 5th generation 60GB Video iPod. IT IS PERFECT! My previous case for my 60GB iPod Photo was purchased from Vaja. It was excellent as well. The difference here is that you can get a case of the same quality (really!) as Vaja for less than half of what you pay at Vaja. (Vaja is $70 and Case-ari is $29.99) Plus, you do not have to wait 3 weeks for them to ‘custom make it”.

Once you get this case, your ipod will not come out. The case is a perfect fit for the ipod (5th gen 30gb model here) and the felt is not coarse as another post has expressed worry over. I especially like the fact that the belt clip is completely optional, I take my ipod to the gym and leave it in my pockets, so having a clean back makes it less bulky. One caveat for the screen protector, andthis goes for all screen protectors, before you put it on, make sure to clean the ipod’s surface really well, any dirt will show up and either make bubbles or get trapped and look bad on the color screen. Overall, this case is very well made and I would recommend it, and when you consider that it runs about what you might pay for some silicone options this one is worth checking out as it looks good and offers a lot of protection.

Red leather Case for 30G 5G Video:

It is excellent. The leather is the softest. It looks and feels great. It has enough protection to keep it safe during my weekly airline travel; it gets thrown into my computer bag through security. The fit is nice an snug. It is not going anywhere once it was in there. I highly reccomend this product. I like that everything is accessable with extra cover.

Only wish would be a small carabiner that attaches to the back where the belt clip is located; although I always travel with a jacket and normally keep it in an inside pocket.

HI all!
I got a case for my nano from Case-ari last week and it is super! I must highly recommend it for all. Its sleek, the leather is high quality exact same as vaja and is extremely convenient and best of all - CHEAP!!!! It protects my nano from all types of scratches whether its in my pocket or just lying around the place. I also bought a screen protector for my nano from them and its working out perfectly for me. Their customer support is phenomenal. I got my case and screen protector from ebay and their service is excellent. Highly Recommend for all ipod users. Thanks Case-ari. U guys rock!!!
