Today’s introduction of Apple’s new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus has already led a number of companies to reveal cases for the upcoming devices. With the basic form factor of the new phones staying the same as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, many casemakers have simply tweaked the shape of the camera cutout in their existing offerings. Ballistic has updated its Jewel ($30), Urbanite ($40), Tough Jacket ($35), and Tough Jacket Maxx ($50) offerings, pictured above, to fit the new cameras, and all are available starting today.
CM4 is making its flagship Q Card case available for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, making some minor updates to the design to accommodate the new cameras while maintaining the same basic look as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models we reviewed last February.
The updated model is available on the company’s website today.
EXOvault says its high-end built-to-order EXO23 ($155-175), EXO24 ($130-190), and EXO25 ($90-190), not pictured, will be available for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but hasn’t released any updated photos. The company’s site features the ability to pre-order the cases, but doesn’t specify a release date.
Gear4’s Piccadilly ($35), Bank ($35), Trafalgar ($35), Soho ($40), Carnaby ($40), Oxford Bookcase ($40) and Mayfair ($50) cases will be available for pre-order starting September 9.
Silk Innovation’s site shows it has updated the camera cutouts on its Vault ($15) and Base Grip ($12) cases to fit iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and in a press release the company says updated PureView ($12), Snap Shell ($10), Sofi Wallet ($20) and Silk Armor ($25) cases are on the way too, all available starting today on the company’s website.
Speck is introducing its new Presidio ($40-$45), Presidio Grip ($40-$45), Presidio Wallet ($45), Presidio Clear ($40-$45) cases for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, boasting a 20 percent smaller profile than previous Speck cases.
