CNET: MusicMatch, Dell to launch music stores

The Internet music software company’s service, which will provide a new online rival to Apple Computer’s iTunes and BuyMusic, will use the popular MusicMatch Jukebox software and will distribute music in Microsoft’s Windows Media format, sources said. The announcement is expected as soon as Monday.”

Lol… yet another online music store using a format unsupported by half of the MP3 player market-- the iPod.

Yeah - I was worried when I read this that we might end up having to use MM’s music store instead of iTunes for Windows. But I guess if they are distributing WMA files then they won’t work with our iPods and Apple know that.
I just hope this is the beginning of the end of MM and Apple’s association. MMJB is really horrible software.

First off, Apple copied me :-D
I created a program in Visual Basic that searches threw a databse of mp3 files (indexs) and lets you either download or stream them on the spot. It was called Music On Demand, just as I was releasing it, Apple comes out with there music store. Oh well thats life.
