Contour debuts Showcase for 2G iPod nano

Contour Design has introduced the Showcase nano, a new dual-layer case for the second-generation iPod nano. The hinged case combines a shock absorbing rubber design with a crystal clear hard case. The Showcase nano features play-through Click Wheel and screen protection, a removable multi-position stainless steel belt clip, and secure sliding latch. The case sells for $33 and will be available the first week of November.

Looks nice, but if it’s like the other countour cases I’ve used it seems bulky and thick. I have had two Showcases for full sized iPods and an iSee for a first gen Nano. The iSee was ok but looked like a scuffed mess in a few weeks while the other ones just added way too much heft to the slim lines of the iPod.
This one looks like it will just take away from the small, sleekness of the Nano and put it in a boxy, unelegant container.

Also, $32 is not expensive for an iPod case, especially a Contour one. They really are worth the money.
Terry, it is not bulky and thick, and the only Contour cases to have been bulky and thick were the 3G & 4G versions.

I don’t really like the way this one looks and I agree that it’s a bit pricey (although there are sure to be even pricier nano cases that will sell just fine). I’ve decided to give the iSee nano V2 a try and have preordered one. Yes, it’ll probably get scuffed up, but I’m hoping it’ll keep me happy until all the other manufacturers get with the program.

FYI - Amazon has both the Isee Nano and Showcase Nano up for preorder at a discounted price and you can use Free Shipping on the order. Much better deal IMHO.
