Covertec has launched a new iPod III leather case for 3G iPods. The iPod III case features flip-top design with magnetic closure, storage for credit cards, license, etc. and the Covertec belt clip ‘Wips System’. The ‘Wips System’ belt clip rotates 360° and when removed it leaves the back of the case flat without any protruding hardware. iPod III retails for $39.95 and is available in black, red, tan and black/orange. Covertec also sells a similar case for classic iPods for $39.95 in black, red, brown and black/orange. There is no indication which classic iPod model fits the case.

Finally, an attractive, slim leather case! Pretty pricey though, and I wish there were more and larger pictures.
What’s with these online vendors and their tiny pictures of items you can’t go see in a store?

That page will give you the closeups; actually much better than most website demos, especially the “zoom in” details. It could use a “top port” and “bottom port” accessability view.
I don’t like the additional dangling thing on the front flap. I think the PodPaqNappa is better (for my use) with its removable front flap.
The Covertec has a benefit in that the belt clip can be completely removed, but I don’t have that need.

Those are the pics I was talking about. Can’t get a feel for what the whole case looks like from different angles.

These cases do not fit the 30/40gb models correctly. They are ok for the 10/15/20gb. It is a nice case but only for the smaller gb models.
