“Round Rock-based Dell Inc. stopped reselling Apple’s iPods in mid-November, about two weeks after the company launched its own competing MP3 player.
“We’ve stopped selling them permanently,” said Mary Fad, a Dell spokeswoman.
Both Apple and Dell declined to explain why the two companies scrapped their reselling agreement.”

“Pretty much, Apple and Dell are the only ones in this industry making money. They make it by being Wal-Mart. We make it by innovation.” - Steve Jobs

Again apple nazi’s talking #### about another companies product. I own a 30g I-Pod but wish I would have waited for the dell. I have used one and have no problem with the way it functions, looks, and of course long after my I-Pod has run out of power, the dell would still be pumping out the music. It is a bit bigger but seeing as I and prob most other I-Pod users dont carry the Pod in my front or back pocket, the size is not a big deal. I also laugh at the notion of Dell seeing how they made more money selling the I pod. They will sell many more Dells than I pods, and it will not hurt their pocket book.

ummm when dell carried ipods, you could get one there for ALOT less than from apple. i bought my first ipod through my brother that worked at apple and i was only able to get $50 off. i was able to get my 2nd 15gb ipod from dell for $280 shipped. YES, that’s $120 off retail (10% off + 10% off + $45 off), $70 better than from apple, and i even had special connections.

I donn’t know the junkbox, but i have a brand new top of the line Dell laptop. They don’t even know how to build a decent working keyboard, so just use your imagination for the rest of the system. I feel like I am playing with one of those flimsy, cheap knock off toys from China. Check out Dell communities forum for other new owners problems

torchedlh,
Wow! You are definitely the king of coupon clippers. That’s great for you. You know what they say, Dell is the Wal-Mart of PC box assemblers. And their roll-back prices prove it! Congratulations.
