Design Your Own iPod Giveaway winners announced
One month and two hundred submissions after opening, the iPod Concept Art Gallery is looking fantastic - thanks to all of you for your submissions, and feel free to keep them coming!
Though it was seriously tough to pick a single winner for the “Design Your Own iPod Giveaway,” we picked an entry that did the best job of meeting the contest’s rules - the winner had to “depict a mostly realistic vision of a next generation iPod.” Our choice accomplished this, while looking great.

Oh, I get it. April fools day! Haha, you couldn’t fool me, I knew the judges wouldn’t pick the ugliest submission. That brushed steel iPod is so cluttered and ugly it looks like something I crapped out this morning.
So lets hear it…who’s the real winner?

The real winner is your entry, Angry Guy… which one did you do, again?

Cluttered? How so? It actually is less “cluttered” than the current ipod. I think someone’s GREEn with envy… which is actually the color i hear kern is going with. How interesting! :o)

Ew. I didn’t submit an entry because I thought there was no way I would have won, but now I’m pretty sure I could have. That thing sucks. I mean, it’s cool. It’s not good enough to merit grand prize.

love hater. Why can’t people just accept dude won?
“I didn’t submit an entry because I thought there was no way I would have won, but now I’m pretty sure I could have.” nice cop out…then why didn’t you? You must have confidence issues hehe

you technically COULD still submit your design..then we can all vote on it and decide if you “hypothetical” design would have won. Are you still up to it?

Ha! I thought Dude’s design was amazing. Very realistic and it is one of the more likely designs of the future iPods.
Congratulations Dude!

There were some really imaginative and quality designs submitted and the most boring and obviously lame attempt wins??? Clearly one of the site owners mates. What a crock of ####.

There were some really imaginative and quality designs submitted, but mine wasn’t amongst them. In fact, I didn’t think about submitting. So now I sit here like the lamer that I am complaining.

The first thing that came out of my mouth when I saw the winner’s design was “wow!” and I thoroughly agreed with the judges’ decision. Although I think an 80GB drive for a product that hopefully will be out soon, is a bit of wishfull thinking, but you can’t blame the guy. If Apple were to actually use this design on the current 40GB as an alternative style, I’d be one of the first in line to buy one. I love it. I hope this guy has a job in industrial design. If not, his talent may be going to waste.

the numbskull that designed this idiotic thing.

How long did that take you to do that in photoshop, like 5 minutes? Maybe 10? Looks like you just used the back of the ipod and stuck some buttons on there where as many of the others in the contest were made from scratch. Way to go champ! If you had read the contest rules…you would have known that the contest was for “THE MOST REALISTIC NEXT GENERATION IPOD”....not the most realistic piece of crap I’ve ever seen. In this context Realistic means…PROBABLE..not far out and all crappy.
