Og god, how revolting! And I’m a woman. Eh, I guess to each her own.

Thats really uh, interesting.
First of all, i hate to start anything, but i too, am a woman, and find these disgusting… Not to mention that i felt, uh… quite “assaulted” by the old man working at the DLO booth at the MW BOSTON convention.. Telling me that i was ruining my iPod and that i was basically stupid because i used another companys product.. I hate DLO Now.

That ‘old man’ is Jim Remillard. He’s our Director of Sales and is one of the nicest gentlemen in the world. If he said anything like what you’ve suggested, it would have only been in jest. Come by the booth today with your personal grievances so we can apologize in person – and not on a public chat board.
Regarding your opinion of our new cases. A quick walk through any major department store and you would find many other purses, accessories and shoes you would probably find ‘disgusting’ as well – as our mini flings are directly mirroring some of the hottest fashion trends on the planet right now.
But thank you for your opinion. That’s exactly why there are hundreds of iPod cases out there - because everyone’s tastes ‘are’ different – thank goodness for that.

I guess some of would be more comfortable if these were being marketed to fashionistas/os or simply, anyone who needs a mirror and likes shiny glitzy things. I know lots of “women” who don’t need or want the sparkly, and lots of “men” who do. But saying that women would automatically want something like this (and the insinuation that men wouldn’t) seems pretty lame.
Some of us hate being put in a box.

andrewbg, no doubt these will sell to people who like this style! We were just stating our opinion, since it’s simply not our style, that’s all…and you are absolutely correct…personally I find many dept store styles revolting as well..but that’s just me

My 15-year old daughter wants an iPod, and she would absolutely LOVE this case in pink.
