DLO debuts Power Bug, Action Jacket for 2G iPod shuffle

Digital Lifestyle Outfitters today announced two new products for the second-generation iPod shuffle—the DLO Power Bug AC Power Adapter and Dock Cable ($23) and the DLO Action Jacket Workout Armband and Case ($20). The Power Bug allows you to charge the new shuffle from any AC wall outlet. It also comes with an extra dock cable for syncing a shuffle with iTunes. The Action Jacket for iPod shuffle is a protective armband with a cushioned case that provides access to the player’s controls while in the case/armband.

I just don’t get why anyone would buy an armband, “protective” case, etc. for a damn mp3 player that clips onto practically anything and is so lightweight, you can’t even tell it’s there. Somebody please tell me why the hell you would purchase this? And really, $20? That’s 25% of what the Shuffle retails for…I just don’t get it.
BTW, I own the new shuffle…

THE POINT: The clip isn’t always stong enough!
The Action Jacket protects the shuffle from rain and sweat which WILL short it out. A pretty compelling reason to frop $20 if you use it for your workouts.
It also gives it a bit more noticeability. The Shuttle is so light I worry Im going to forget to unclip it from my shirt and put it throught he was.

The real problem is here that these products are made by DLO, a company who does not stand behind other cases that they make, why start now?

yay…more bottom quality junk from DLO
After my experience with one of their cases, there is no way I would hook up a power source from them. It is frightening to think what that would do to my iPod.
