EA announces fall game lineup: SimCity, EA Sports and more

Electronic Arts has announced its fall 2010 lineup of iPhone, iPod touch and iPad games. Upcoming titles include SimCity Deluxe for the iPad and EA Sports FIFA 11, EA Sports NBA Elite 11, EA Sports MMA, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Heroes Lore and High Caliber Hunting for the iPhone and iPod touch.
SimCity Deluxe for iPad will bring the popular iPhone and iPod touch title to the iPad screen with higher-resolution HD graphics including textured terrain, a larger interactive display, controls optimized for the iPad screen and new game features such as simultaneous disaster strikes. SimCity Deluxe for iPad is scheduled for release in November.
Three new EA Sports titles have also been announced for the iPhone and iPod touch, all scheduled for release later this month. EA Sports FIFA 11 will deliver updated players, teams and stadiums to the 2010 edition, high-resolution Retina Display graphics and improved dual control options to provide advanced controls for experienced players and simplicity for casual players.

EA Sports NBA Elite 11 will provide a Retina Display enhanced version of the previous year’s edition with updated rosters from all 30 NBA teams and over 450 favorite players. The 2011 edition will also include a new 3-point Shootout Mode and in-game ESPN commentary.

EA Sports MMA is a new Mixed Martial Arts game optimized for the Retina Display. MMA will provide multiple fighting styles from Sambo to Muay Thai and includes over 20 real-life MMA fighters.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a new modern-warfare game for the iPhone and iPod touch based on the best-selling console game. Players will follow a storyline across 14 single-player missions and five detailed battle zones and engage in room-to-room combat as well as vehicular combat with tanks and choppers. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is scheduled for release in November.

Heroes Lore will bring EA’s popular mobile RPG franchise to the iPhone and iPod touch allowing players to immerse themselves in the stories of Kei and Rits and they fight for their warring kingdoms. Players will be able to undertake single-player quests in story mode or battle online in player-vs-player or two-player team battles. Heroes Lore is scheduled for release later this month.

High Caliber Hunting will put players in an authentic hunting simulation where they must seek out more than 20 types of wild game ranging from bear and moose to squirrels and rabbits. The game will provide Retina Display graphics and access to up to 70 authentic brand-name firearms and gear. High Caliber Hunting is scheduled for release in November.
