Early online iPad 2 orders now arriving
Early iPad 2 orders placed online via AT&T and Apple have started to arrive at customer’s homes and offices. According to Mac Rumors, the first orders arrived yesterday afternoon, with AT&T shipments being the first to appear, followed by a few Apple orders. The pace of Apple orders’ arrivals seems to be quickening today, with multiple customers reporting that their orders have either arrived or are listed as “On FedEx vehicle for delivery.” Apple opened iPad 2 online pre-orders in the early hours last Friday, with estimated shipment times jumping to 2-3 weeks by roughly 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time; new online orders are being quoted a shipment time of 4-5 weeks.

I ordered mine early Friday morning and received it on Tuesday afternoon. I was surprised that it arrived two days before the scheduled delivery date listed on the FedEx tracking.

I ordered at 1:05 PST and it arrived yesterday afternoon about 4:30. Was very happy to have it before the projected arrival date.

I ordered mine at 5:04 EST from Apple and mine just showed up as “Shipped” today. Not too happy that it took that long to process. And I am even less happy that orders from the same time have been showing up elsewhere since Tuesday.
Oh well, I guess next week it is…:(

I ordered mine at 2am MT on Friday and got it Tuesday… Two days earlier than Fed Ex’s predicted time. Love it so far!

Ordered mine 12:44am PST on Friday, got it Wednesday the 16th. Scheduled for Friday the 18th. WOOHOO! So far, this was worth the wait (as i never owned the 1st gen ipad).
Time to buy the accessories…

Ordered mine on Fri. @ 3:00 am central - got it today around 2:00 pm. One day earlier than originally anticipated. So far having lots of fun!

I took advantage of the number of gen-1 iPads on eBay due to this model refresh, and got a 64GB wifi only model (originally $699, now $599 - plus taxes) for $350. Deal! You have to be a total sucker to shell out $750 and wait 5 weeks for the latest thing.
