EDGE Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader for iPod now shipping

EDGE Tech has begun shipping its EDGE Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader for iPod. The device allows users to access various flash memory formats while charging/syncing their iPod. Supported media include xD Cards, SD Cards, MultiMedia (MMC) Cards, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, SmartMedia Cards, Type I/II CompactFlash Cards, and IBM Microdrives. The device also features line-out for audio, s-video out, and USB 2.0 for the card reader—a separate dock connector port is used to connect the iPod to the computer. The EDGE Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader for iPod is available now and sells for $49.99.

Silly question, but…
Does this device copy files to the iPod? Or, is it merely a USB 2.0 card reader with an iPod dock slapped on top of it?

From the Edge site…sounds like two cables, one for the card reader and one for the dock. So it sounds like you need 2 USB ports for this, just less desk real estate.
Also, it sounds like what you said…a dock with a card reader attached. With 2 cables, it sure sounds that way. So no direct transfer of iPod to cards.
