Actually regtools, I am proud to say that I was one of the strong ones - that is to say, I held off until the new iPods came out! I didn’t get a new one! And I agree with iPodlounger’s opinion about the new iPod, it just doesn’t seem right to put opinion in a news headline...Should only be hard facts. Whatever.

Actually, if you can remeber back in school, they taught you that there are different types of news stories and headlines. Factual, features, announcements, and opinion/personal reflection.

As far as size is concerned, notice that the photos compare a 15GB 3G against a 20GB 2G. The 20GB is 4.0” x 2.4” x 0.8”. The 15GB is 4.1” x 2.4” x 0.62”, or roughly 25% thinner. The 30GB, on the other hand, is 4.1” x 2.4” x .73”, or roughly 9% thinner. This means it is actually thicker than the 10GB 2G iPod (.72” thick)! So 20GB owners who want to take advantage of the thinner size as shown in these photos will need to drop 5GB in capacity.

If the new iPods are the same for Mac and Windows, what filesystem does it use?  Just wondering.  Thanks!

it uses fat32 AND NTFS. It reformates its hardrive when you hook it up to yur computer. Peace

I don’t see how it uses both file systems as nothing else out can do this, and if it reformatted the harddrive every time you connect to your computer you would loose all music on your ipod, now it may reformat everytime you sync but it wont every normal connect, and iPodlounger’s opion in the news article is like any other article you read in any magazine or newspaper, its only when you are being deilvered the exact news such as News programs on TV that you need the factual news given and nothing else.
