First iPhone 4 units being delivered today
With the official launch still two days away, a number of iPhone 4 pre-order customers are reporting delivery of their new handsets today. A Mac Rumors forum member has posted photos of his unit, which arrived earlier today, despite his FedEx tracking information listing his delivery date as June 24, and after receiving an email notification from Apple stating that his iPhone 4 would arrive tomorrow. The member also noted that activation went quickly and without issue. Apple will officially launch the iPhone 4 on June 24.

That’s awesome, mine is arriving tomorrow, one day before the release date
Hopefully I can activate it so I can avoid the activation headaches on the 24th.

Well, after getting an email that my iPhone would be delivered a day early, tracking on FedEx shows that no, it will - in fact - be delivered on the 24th, the original date after all. It is not even out of the airport facility yet. So it looks like I stayed home from work Wed. morning for nothing. I wish they had not told me it would be delivered early when it isn’t.
Frustrating.

My delivery estimate from FedEx said June 23rd at 10:30 am up until this morning but it looks like my unit has been sitting in FedEx’s Newark facility since 6 am this morning and the delivery estimate has now disappeared.
