Looks like the nano has a recessed headset jack…is it the same size as the iPhones?

I want to know if my 2nd-Gen Nano lanyard will fit the 3rd-Gen Nano. I don’t see any sign of a new lanyard on Apple’s site.

Just picked up the black 8gb nano. The headphone port does look recessed, but that’s just because the device is so freakin’ small!! I couldn’t believe it!
Another thing is the new nano armband. There are two velcros attachments so that you can use it with or without the Nike+ system. Very cool!

Is Apple not including the felt case anymore?

As of 9-7, the apple stores do not have the 160gb ipod in stock. I asked when, one clerk said maybe monday, another said the end of the month. This at the flagship store in San Francisco at union square. I was told by the clerk that if that store doesn’t have them in stock, no apple store has them. Whether the other models ar available I don’t know, but I wouldn’t count on it.

i just got theblack 3g nano today too.. its so cool! i LOVE it! its freakin tiny.. and the new coverflow function is really cool.. and jus as a side note: the headphone jack is recessed a little bit. i am very impressed by this incredible work of art- calling it the “fatty” would b stupid seeing that its not even as wide as an ipod classic. but i definetly prefer it over the last 2 nanos. the video is so clear! an overall stunning product.

I bought one, too—there’s nothing “fatty” about it—it’s so darn thin!
My ONLY complaint (and it’s a BIG one) is that the TV Out is broken unless you buy an Apple branded cable with an unlock chip in it. Due to its size, I was so hoping it would let me pull it out at business meetings and plug into your friendly neighborhood video projector without lugging cables around with me all the time. I have some Keynote presentations in QuickTime format that are useful for such purposes.
I only hope there will be a hack for it, because it affects the third parties making such video docks, etc.
