Seems that some iLoungers in our forums have received a phone call from an Apple contracted company surveying iPod owners. iLounger “IDSmoke” said, “The poll was about what you would expect [regarding new iPods]... rate, on a scale from 1 to 5, how important the iPod’s size was in making your purchase decision… etc.  Didn’t even provide the opportunity to make suggestions for improvements.”

Another iLounger, “Caterinka” received a call from a company representing Apple and said, “Her [survey representative] conclusion of platform satisfaction appeared to center around iTunes vs. whatever Windows users are interfacing with, which is pretty consistent with what we see here [in the foums].  Not necessarily a better platform, just a program that works very smoothly with the iPod.

Did you receive a call from a survey company asking you about iPod? Email us or tell us about your phone conversation in the comments area.

They asked about all aspects. Took about 10 minutes. They asked about software, hardware, ease of use, battery life, where I used it. Even asked how I accessed music i.e. playlist or browse etc. Asked several demographics questions - age, number in household, other electronic devices. I think it was a satisfaction survey.
