‘Ironically, Jobs admitted to naming his company as a tribute to the Beatles’ - so Jobs does something nice but they threw it back in his face. Shame noone will remember the Beatles for nearly as long as Apple will be remembered and will survive for. HA!

Geez.  Some perspective please.  The Beatles are one of the most popular and influential bands of all time.

Most people would not confuse Apple Computer with the Beatles, but this ‘something nice’ is still copyright infringement. 

I think I’ll start a toy company called McDonald’s with an M logo.  Then I start selling sandwiches.  They won’t mind, I’m sure.

I’ve got to agree with the Beatles on this one. Apple signed an agreement promising to never get involved with music and have no clearly done that. They should have just changed their name back in the early 80’s when the Beatles sued because music and computers were destined to come together.

Hey, Apple Corps (Beatles) better not sell MP3 versions of their music. That could be for use on computerized devices. Then Apple should SUE their a## off.

I’m not the biggest fan of some of the things Apple has done, but this is really just silly. No one is confusing Apple Computer with a long forgotten rock band from forty years ago. Looks like the only way these clowns can make money now is to sue Apple because their names sound similar.

Well, Steve Jobs signed an agreement that stipulated certain conditions.

If he is stupid enough to break that agreement then he deserves to be sued....what a dope.

all you saying that apple were stupid to break the terms of the agreement should remember if they didnt… you woulndt have an iPod. and i have a feeling apple have made a hell of a lot more money out of the ipod than the bettles will win off them.

c’mon. you know as well as I that paul, ringo, olivia (and maybe even yoko) have nothing to do with this ridiculous lawsuit. it’s the imbicilic lawyers at the helm once again. greedy corporate piggies.

apple records made great (timeless, you fool) music, and apple computers have done the same with their products for us professionals and novices alike to enjoy. the 2 don’t have ANYTHING to do with each other.

let’s not be so naive as to think that the #1 band of all time is really behind this, look at your history, the band was dissolved in the 70s, so when the headline says Beatles, it’s really not talking about them…

I say Apple should I hire a crack team of talented musicians who can actually write interesting and orignal music, give them guns, and pay them to take out the last two Beatles and all their fans. Then set fire to every Beatles CD ever, then burn down their ###### record studio.
