G-Tech has introduced a new iPod-ready messenger bag. The G-Tech bag features an ElekTex fabric control pad, built-in speaker and universal 3.5mm jack. Available in black or brown, the messenger bag also has compartments to store a laptop, iPod, cell phone, and more. “Geared to mobile, tech-savvy users, the bags include an integrated external speaker and provide a space to stash a cell phone and iPod inside and control the iPod from the strap of the bag, eliminating the hassles of fumbling to work the device while on the go,” says the company. The G-Tech Messenger Bag is priced at $129 and will be available starting mid-November.

Why does a messenger bag need an external speaker?
Srsly.

Surely the ilounge editors get bored of re-hashing press releases for boring and only vaguely ipod-related merchandise such as this? It must be like purgatory in that newsroom.

PushButtonAction, it is needed so that your average ill-mannered teenaged ignoramus can use it to put his or her dismal taste in music display on public transportation and anywhere else where there is even the remotest chance of annoying someone, but only in order be freed from both bag and iPod by a demographic that has even less respect for the public peace and that usually employs cheap subsidized cellphones with their tinny speakers for the exact same purpose while having a slight tendency to stab people who oppose said behavior. SBD should find out where G-Tech has it’s products manufactured, maybe buying one not only helps raise public violence rates here but also fills a couple of small hands with rice elsewhere.
