Google has released an update to its iOS app formerly known as Google Places, renaming it to Google+ Local and adding integration with Google+ for reviews along with Zagat summaries. Google+ Local also adds the ability to search using Voice Search along with an improved UI for searching for places that aren’t nearby. OAuth2 is also now used for authentication for improved security and the update includes several bug fixes. Google+ Local is available from the App Store as a free download.
