Griffin Technology today introduced the PowerBlock, a universal wall charger for iPods. The iPod shuffle plugs directly into the top of the PowerBlock, while all other supported iPods use an included USB dock connector cable. The PowerBlock accepts 120 or 240 Volt service for use with international plug adapters. The PowerBlock works with 4G/5G iPods, iPod mini, iPod nano and iPod shuffle. It sells for $30.
Griffin also today announced that its new bottom-mounting iTrip is now available in black. Compatible with all full-size dockable iPods (3G/4G/5G), the new iTrip features a backlit LCD screen, a side-mounted switch to select broadcast frequency (88.1-107.9MHz), and the ability to set the iTrip to either US or International tuning modes. The new iTrip is priced at $50.

“so there’s never a power issue to silence your tunes”
HAA HAA! If Griffin actually bothered to THINK for FIVE SECONDS before starting to push out all these “new” 5G accessories, then this, as well as the 5G AirClick would feature a PASS-THROUGH DOCKING CONNECTOR. Sometimes I want to be an iPod accessory manufacturer, with a market this big one can seemingly get away with about everything :(

Chris—Do you like your AirPlay2? Does it work OK, and does the pass through docking connector work OK with charging, etc ? Does it seem to fit on your 5G black iPod OK? I thinking about get one for the pass through port…
Thanks for the info…

Stop do not waste the money on this. This has to be the worest I have seen from this company. The signal is off. The bandwidth numbers are off. Just a bad product, I owned the first version with no issues. Than I moved up in my Ipod world so I thought I would move up. Rethink this. Very poor. Sad
