Griffin offers SmartShare audio splitter

Griffin Technology has announced the SmartShare headphone/audio splitter. The $20 accessory, which lets you share the music from your iPod with another person, features an integrated slim volume control slider for each of the output jacks. Griffin’s SmartShare comes in either white or black and is available immediately.

Man,
I’ve had my iPod for a while. I wouldn’t do without it anymore (40gig 3rd gen). I’m getting sick of these companies releasing hardware that’s overprices just cause it’s ‘for the iPod’. What’s worse is people jump on it like it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Thank Griffin, but I’ll just goto RadioShack and pay less than half for the same functionality. Nothing like price gouging in the name of vanity.

this looks great! it would really be useful for me because my friend and i listen to my ipod on the bus using my belkin splitters.
he usually takes the ipod headphones and i use my bigass sonys. but now i have ER6i’s on the way so obviously ill have to listen lower than he will using the apple earphones.
i hope the vulume range is enough to make that possible.
