iFrogz intros new customizable iPod cases

imageiFrogz has announced its new customizable three-component iPod cases. The complete iFrogz set consists of the wrapz (main silicone body), bandz (extra side padding) and screenz (screen and click wheel protector). The $24 cases are available for 4G and 5G iPods and the iPod nano.

The cases, which feature an anti-static treatment and belt clip, are available in a rainbow of custom colors and come with one screenz decal that covers the click wheel. “With hundreds of screen decal selections in different categories such as sports, girly, culture, artistic, pop, colors and nature, iFrogz offer over a million combinations of complete iFrogz sets,” says the company.

Don’t like how there is no opening at bottom to sync or dock with the case on. Too bad.

actually all you need to do is fold back the “band” part of the case and it is then fully dockable. This is a slight annoyance, but when you are not docking it or using the port it is then fully protected

I think there is an opening - the image shows the case with the optional ‘band’ in a contrasting color.  This band goes around the edge of the iPod over the standard silicone case.  I think it is what is covering the docking port hole in the standard case.

Just confirmed - right on the main page of iFrogz they say about the band - ‘peel back for docking’ suggesting there is an access hole in the silicone case.

There is an opening at the bottom I just got the one I ordered and it is the coolest Case I have ever seen.  The Hole is hidden by the band.  There is no better case around.

I ordered mine this past weekend along with a couple different colored bandz and a couple of different screenz.  Definitely looks better than my current iSkin EVO.

Lolz!

I agree with you Lark. They should drop the Teenie Bopper act and change the name.
I can’t wait to see some real-life pictures of this case.

I just ordered one too.  This was after I looked through all the case reviews on the Apple site.  Every case practically had too many poor reviews (“this thing scratched my iPod and blah, blah, blah”).  iFrogz seems to offer the best protection and features for the price, plus they look cool.

So I just ordered my iFrogz set at the same time I ordered my new 5G 30 GB.  Hopefully, this iPod will keep its appearance better than my lowly 3G 20 GB iPod (with the new iFrogz).

This Case is nice but their is one better (probably). I have have a Speck Product “ToughCase” it’s great. I have accidently dropped like 6 or 7 feet and it did not even faze it.But DO NOT GET THE WHITE CASE it is bad it turns a slight yellow color and it looks bad! It comes for the Nano and 5th G Ipods. I think I will order the frogz case though due to its low pricing and awesome fashion.

Okay so my review of this case. I have a VAJA that I spent 80 bucks on and was dissapointed in that I still have scratches on my ipod and the plactic screen cover on my vaja is scratched so everytime I watch a show or video I have to remove it. I still hoverer like the case and know that my screen would look like the cover had the case not been there. So as I said, the case looks nice although the color is not “Devil Red” it is more orangy. I was impressed with the price and the packaging. So I went to put on the plastic cover and could not smooth out all the bubbles. I am pretty sure in my attempt to get rid of all the bubbles I messed up my ipod. So I am a little pissed. I also have to remove the black band and the red cover to use it with my monster cable in my car. That is another downside. I think I will stick with my VAJA case and not be so obsessed with markings on my ipod. B-

OK, I finally got mine in today via FedEx earely this mornin. I absolutely love my new IFrogz case. I agree with Whitney to a certain degree about the Screenz being hard to get the bubbles out,but they do give you a ‘soft card’ which stated if used properly will help get the bubbles out. Obviously it is impossible to get the bubbles from the clickwheel out, but that is why they give you the decals to place on top of the screenz to help cover that up. The case fits perfectly, looks wonderful, feels pleasant to the touch, and is simple enough to use that I will definitely be sticking to this one. I ordered the purple parade case with the hot pants pink bandz with the Paris wheel decals.I’ll post a pic if anyone wants.

I received my ifrogz case today.  I also had the problem with bubbles, which I didn’t have with my Power Support Crystal Film.  Unfortunately, I already pulled off the film and replaced it with ifrogz (because you can’t put the wheel cover directly on your ipod) before I realized the fatal flaw in this system:

I can’t get my headphone into the jack properly!  I tried a few different headphones, but the thickness of the case and bandz prevents a proper connection.  I even took off the bandz and still had a problem.

Have gone back to my sumajin case and screen protector combination.  It’s a shame, because I really liked the feel and heft it gave to my ipod.

Nice idea, but severely flawed execution.
