iLounge raises the bar on web apps. No need to make a standalone iPhone/iPod Touch Application. It’s that good.

You have the best design of any of the available iPhone info sites - clearly set up, easily navigated and with great legibility. Excellent!

I like the new setup a lot. However, I have one thing that I think needs to be improved. I spend a lot of time on the forums and if you go to All Newest Posts and click on a post it opens a new screen to view the post. To go back you have to flip back to the previous screen. It would be nice if the post just opened in the same screen and had the back button enabled. I know you can go the the Mobile Forums Index but it would nice if it were all contained in the new interface.

Biffa6: The portal has been working since launch—you should only need an iPhone or iPod touch with JavaScript enabled.
Other less-capable mobile devices may have trouble with this site, and are advised to use our “Mobile Lite” site here:
http://www.ilounge.com/mobilelite
Anypats: We do recognize this limitation, but it’s very difficult to work around due to the fact that our forums and main-site operate on two completely different software packages.
Thanks for your comments… suggestions are always welcome as we continue to move the site forward!

I’m with others who find your web app one of the best. My 8Go iPod Touch has however some difficulties with the slide transition. No problem with the lite version of course.
Thanks for this great work.

The only reason I would like to see a Native App built just like the Web App would be to have save options for offline reading. I agree that the iLounge’s Web App is by far the most impressive I have seen to date. Very nice and responsive, cleanly built and easy to navigate. Great Work.

I Love the new Mobile Web design, it works great on my iPod Touch, could I just make request?
Are you gonna update the Mobile Forum page to match the new style and Look? It would be great. I read the Forum a lot, as much as the main site and and an iPhone optimized version of the forum would be great.
Regards,
Simone

I just started using the new web interface today and I really like it, especially compared to the prior version, which I found to be a bit limited. This one has a much stronger “iPhone feel” and the appearance and functionality is improved. Good job, guys.
