Though you’ve already seen the numerous casing shots we’ve featured in our First Look at the iPhone 3G, as well as the world’s first unpacking pictures taken in the wild, we have just posted our gallery of iPhone 3G comparison and unpacking photographs for your enjoyment. Available from our Flickr account, the set of photos shows off the iPhone 3G by comparison to the iPhone, iPod touch, original iPod, and iPod classic, as well as the data functionality of its Maps and Safari applications.

No enjoyment here Jeremy! Since downloading the official 2.0 software this morning, my iPhone is now a brick. And I’m due to leave on vacation this afternoon. Apple dropped the ball on this one.

Updated to 2.0 last night, had to delete all backups and restore 3 times, the last time to just a stock 2.0; no contacts or anything because my Mail.app would just crash when opened.
Oh, and the bottom .25” of my screen now no longer responds to touching, which makes all portrait view typing impossible.
Thanks 2.0!!!!! I’ve got an appointment at the genius bar tomorrow morning!!!!

i updated my iphone yesterday at lunch. it took about an hour to download the update and itunes 7.7, but i had no problems with updating. all of my personal info and media were copied back. the only problem i encountered is super monkey ball didn’t load onto my phone the first time around. it did load today, though, after i did a sync.
no bricking here.
