iLoungers weigh in on iPod shuffle
As part of iLounge’s iPod shuffle x3 Giveaway, we asked readers to provide their opinions of the new Apple music player in the official iPod shuffle opinion thread in iLounge’s new iPod Shuffle general discussion forum. Response has been terrific—iLounge readers have written more than 200 insightful comments about Apple’s new iPod shuffle.
The overwhelming majority praise the iPod shuffle for its price, small size, ease of use, durability, and other factors. Only a small number criticize it—mostly for its lack of screen. Be sure to check out the iPod shuffle opinion thread for all the comments and to leave your own so you’ll be entered for a chance to win an iPod shuffle for yourself.

A screen is very nice to have.
Tiny size is very nice to have.
Thousands of songs at once are very nice to have.
Clickwheel scrolling is very nice to have.
Photo slideshows are very nice to have.
Flash storage that survives a hard drop is very nice to have.
An extra couple hundred bucks in your pocket are very nice to have.
Thank goodness for options!

I just purchased the shuffle as my first iPod. To be honest, I don’t need 10,000 songs in my pocket. I only need it for those strolls through the grocery store or walks to the park with the kid.
The shuffle is a great product.

What I like about the ipod shuffle:
(1) Light, dimunitive size
(2) Tight integration with iTunes for almost flawless syncing
(3) Very good sound
(4) Direct USB plugin for syncing and charging
(5) Better than claimed battery life
What I don’t like about the ipod shuffle:
(1) Sliding button at the back a little hard to use at times
(2) Lack of support for autofill across several playlists
(3) Small bug where sometimes ipod shuffle doesn’t turn on after a pause followed by switch off
