Apple CEO Tim Cook made several comments regarding the iPad and its success. According to Cook, the iPad has a 74 percent share of the tablet market, making it the “undisputed” number one tablet in the world. He went on to reveal that over 80 percent of US hospitals are now piloting or testing the device, 92 percent of Fortune 500 companies are testing or deploying iPad, and that every state in the U.S. has a school with an iPad deployment program either in place or in pilot, with over 1,000 schools offering a 1:1 program.
