My boss just downloaded the update, realized he still doesnt have MMS and threw his phone against the wall. Apparently he’s going to use his old phone until the Storm comes out next week.

I just downloaded it and am not quite sure why it is called 2.2 rather than 2.1.2 . I thought if there was only one decimal point it meant a MAJOR upgrade. this seems to have fixed a couple of security issues and sound quality. Great, i can see the street now.

I was getting excited when I saw HD podcasts can download to your iPhone - but once there, you can’t play them - which is highly disappointing. I have to subscribe to HD versions as well as SD - and my played/unplayed is always out of sync. Better if we could play HD versions everywhere.

The upgrade seems to have had an adverse effect on the WunderRadio app…
It used to play sound even if the phone was on silent/vibrate. So now I have to turn the system sound on for it to work. That’s no biggie.
However, it now only plays sound while the screen is active. If the screen powers down or if you hit the power button to turn off the screen, the app stops playing. That is a big deal.

Pretty sad when you have to do a search on YouTube just to figure out where they put the Street View option…who would think to click on the little red man on a dropped pin.

Anybody else having problems with the free wi-fi at Starbucks after upgrading to v2.2? I could not get the free wi-fi at all and it didn’t even recognize my iPhone as such, just as a regular internet connection. This didn’t happen before 2.2.

I wish this update had more “promised” features, but the whole OS feels more responsive and smooth.
Apps seem to load faster and Safari is much quicker. Also, the Maps seems to find locations much easier and the street view is interesting for a mobile device.

I don’t know how to use the street view, I’m still trying to view the streets and nothing.

Out of interest I got google maps to route from Australia to New York. It got me to the top of Australia and then said “Kayak to Japan”. For real! Anyone else been told to kayak across an ocean?
