The Think Different Store will open its first retail location to sell iPod accessories this month on Long Island. The grand opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the 1-800-ipod.com Store at 280 Middle Country Road in Selden. Over $1000 in iPod and Macintosh related merchandise will be given away during the celebration, including an iPod Nano.
“Covering 3000 square feet of prime retail space along a major thoroughfare in Suffolk County, the store features a wide range of accessories and enhancements for Apple’s wildly popular iPod music player and Macintosh personal computers,” says the owners. “Staffed with a friendly, knowledgeable group of Long Island techno-wizards, the 1-800-ipod.com store is destined to become an easily accessible local resource for iPod and Macintosh users.”

Wow, that is one cheese-assed looking store. You’d think Apple would spring for something that would look kinda cool, or at least instill some confidence. This building literally looks like a Salvation Army drop-off.

Kingpause: I’ve purchased from Think different store (online), and I can tell you that they’re not part of Apple. They sell Apple products independently. And no offense but lighten up dude, you’re complaining about the outside of the store seen in a tiny image, taken far away? And from that you can tell it’s “cheese-assed”? You must have superman x-ray vision. I think it looks inviting just from that small image and especially from the description from ilounge. I’d love to see the inside, just wish I lived near there. Hey think different store, you opening up other locations soon?

There’s actually a much larger version of the same pic if you follow the link.
I didn’t realize that they were not affiliated by Apple (though I should have known when I visited the site) - mea culpa.
I guess I’ve just been too jaded by my years of big city blah blah whatever. ;p
