Then stop reading about it. Duh.
I know about tons of iPod-related articles, but I choose to ignore them because they’re all pretty much the same.
Over-exposed… boo-hoo. You’re not a part of some elite club of techno-geeks who were the only people on your block that could afford a $300+ mp3 player.
Get over it.

Is this what happens when there is no new news on ipod related gadgets or articles? An article about how much the ipod mini gets exposure comes out? Isnt this site dedicated to the Hooplah of Ipods and its line of players and accessories? Now will someone hurry up and release a nice case for the 4G already?!?!

The only thing about the mini that upsets me is that THERE ARE NONE! Other than the the few Circuit City has online every week, one day they have green…the next pink…never more than one color and as soon as they are available they are gone. I guess I wouldnt mind reading and hearing about them if you could actually get one.

He’s tired of all the iPod mini hype, so he writes yet another article about the iPod mini?
Way to slove the problem, dude.

Narco-
You’re a liar. You say you ignore the articles about the mini, yet you’re the first one to respond here on this article about the mini.
The mini and the iPod in general are getting a bit too much press. Of course, the press is good for Apple, but as someone who’s owned an iPod/mini for years it gets old.
One great point of the articles is that lame companies are using the coolness of the mini to promote their lame products. People are like sheep…they see that some company is cool enough to give away a mini so they figure the company’s product is also cool.
Hell, even universities (primarily DUKE) are trying to seem cool now by giving away iPods. Do you realize what a terrible experience it would be to go to a college where all the students just walk around listening to iPods? Where students skip classes and just download lectures? Where everyone is so closed off an in their own world? Going to college is about learning, meeting people and getting laid.
(Ironically, if you were the only guy on campus cool enough to have an iPod, maybe you could’ve used that to get laid, but when everyone’s got one…good luck).
Face it, the iPod is overexposed…but that’s not the worst thing happening in the world right now.

Tired of the mini?
You’ve got too much time on your hands. Get a life and quit reading mini articles if it bothers you so much. Sheesh.

“Tired of the mini” -
I DO ignore articles about the mini directly, this article is about how the mini is overexposed. I was referring to articles about the mini’s functions and how all the suburban soccer moms just love them to death.
I agree, the iPod IS overexposed, I’m just saying that it doesn’t bother me one bit. I use it every day and that’s fine for me.

I have a New Beetle, bought at the height of it’s “popularity” (it is still a very very popular car actually), and I love it. I also love my iPod, even though it is a 2nd generation and decidely not “cool” (anymore). But I drive around and use my iPod as my sole source of music. Don’t think people won’t use their mini’s even after they aren’t cool anymore.

use an iPod to get you laid? what kind of screwed up dream world are you living in?

Nathan-
Of course you could use the iPod to get laid. Just like people buy certain cars because they thing it’ll help them get laid. Certain clothes to get laid.
It’s not me that’s living in a ‘screwed up dream world’ it’s the world that’s a ‘screwed up dream’.

Any woman who will sleep with you because you own a $300 mp3 player (or promise to give it to her as payment?) has a few issues she needs to work through.
And anyone who would make or accept such an offer should be ashamed.
That’s one to write home about…
