iPod mini is hot seller for Moms

“Apple’s new iPod mini, which debuted in January, has been a hot seller at online retailer Amazon.com in the days leading up to Mother’s Day this Sunday.
‘We’ve been selling out of the iPod mini as soon as we get them,’ Frank Sadowski, vice president of consumer electronics at Amazon.com (AMZN: Research, Estimates) told CNN/Money, though he declined to divulge sales figures for the product.

i dont have a need for one now but are there select places that stil ahve them and is apple still slowly shipping or has all production seized for the moment….

I ordered one 3 weeks ago from amazon, they the expected shiping date isn’t till june. They have none. “We’ve been selling out of the iPod mini as soon as we get them” Ha, don’t lie, they have none to ship apple hasn’t sent them any to send out, and wont for a few more weeks.

so who thinks that reason for the “shortage” is from jsut the high popularity, an expected relase of a larger capacity or diff model, or just the fact they know the sound distortion issue is major and theya re trying to fix it?

well before i started seing the sound issue i saw tons at compusa’s but over spring break i went to tons of stores just to try and show some friends them and one of them wnated one but they were all backordered
good luck finding one, but im not sure what to think of the shortage…..if you relase something liek this you should know they are gonna be popular…..but then again….there were those who were like “250 bucks!!!!! id pay only 50”. so who knows…i await to see the future
