iPod people attack New York!

“Idea for a sci-fi horror flick: New York is invaded by zombielike robots. They ghost along the sidewalks, oblivious of pedestrians, and have frequent near misses with taxis and cyclists, causing chaos. They carry a secret weapon

“The News sucks here… anyone heard of QUAILITY CONTROL….. this site is going to hell…”

Afterall, this site is about iPods and an online community for the people who own them. So, to post a story about people and their iPods seems appropriate enough. And yes, this site is biased toward iPods and always will be ;)

Yeeeesss… but this is strecthing it a bit. We all like to hear about new developments and accesories and things about the pods, but all we seem to get is a bunch of reporters different opinions about them. Mixed in with some interesting stuff.

I don’t know how people can hear their tunes through those white earbuds on the subway. I really tune out the city with Bose headphones plugged into the iPod remote wire. And that way no reporters wave signs in my face asking to interview me. I have seen an influx of iPodders on the trains, but big deal. I don’t want to deal with them either.

Wow, i guess since a few people can’t be socially respectable to each other when listening to music, we all must be social miscreants.

If someone wants to talk to me, all they have to do is tap my shoulder.  Easy as pie.  And i figure, this will weed out the comments that aren’t important, because most people won’t tap my shoulder.

I ride the bus about every day and you knwo what I don’t see?  People talking to each other.  90 percent of these people don’t have ipods or any thing in their ears.  So should we conclude that the ipod is an escape from social interaction?  Na, we should conclude that there was no social interaction to begin with (this doesn’t take into account the crazy guy three seats up, rocking forward and back, screaming at the top of his lungs.  Atleast I assume he’s screaming, I can’t really hear him anyways, thanks to my ipod, all I can hear is the sweet sweet sounds of Air.)

bababooey—

In case you haven’t noticed, this site is alive, flourishing, informative, and increasingly popular.  The only thing that could possibly be construed as a sign that it’s “going to hell” is the increasing presence of idiotic, *ungrateful* comments seen above by you and others.

This site is what it claims to be—- the hub for “All Things iPod.”  Your disinterest in the occasional news snippet here is absolutely no reason for you to comment just for the sake of b**ching…  Just read on!!

there was a time where the news was newsworthy and had great informatiom.

Now is filled with nonsense and trash and you say that this site is flourishing? I agree… with trash.. any article with the word IPOD is submitted in a mad frenzy… Yeah i guess I can see how an Ipod fanatic would get excited about reading about tripe trash that is constantly being pass on as “NEWS” ... this SH(T aint news people.

Keep being a cheerleader.. go right ahead..It don’t bother me.. but I still maintain this site lacks substance that it once had. Real informative News..

“iPod people attack New York! ”  Thats ia a laughable subject line..

Leave then, and enjoy the “news” on www.ipoding.com.. it’s plenty dry and seldom-updated for you.  Plus, there’s no community there to get mad at you when you waste their bandwidth with your garbage.

Do any of you consider that perhaps there ISN’T currently much news of substance? Think about it, the current model of iPod (ignoring mini) has been out for almost a year, so technical developments are going to have slowed down, as have accessories. Maybe things will change some when lots of people start buying the mini? In the mean time, what can you expect other than comments and usage observations? I’d rather read non-useful stories than nothing at all.

Idea: only click the stories that interest you. Otherwise, you need not read them nor spend time commenting.

PS… is iPod the first device with earphones??? I don’t think so.
