I was soooo looking forward to this product.  I knew it sounded to good to be true.  I love my 1 GB shuffle (even purchased an additional 2 years warranty for $34.95), but I wish it could do more.  I just purchased a 1 GB Creative MuVo N200.  It cost about $120.00 after $20.00 mail in rebate.  It has an FM tuner and line-in jack for recording external sources.  It’s smaller and lighter than the shuffle.  I haven’t opened it yet because I wasn’t sure I was going to keep it.  It can store almost 500 songs in WMA format.  I hope Apple comes out with a 2 GB shuffle before year’s end.

rumor is there will be a 4GB in August, cant wait….hope they put in a button so you can choose playlists on the shuffle!

Tchoky, where the hell did you get an N200 thats smaller and lighter than the ipod shuffle?

N200:
1.32” x 2.58” x 0.51” = 1.736856 cubic inches

shuffle:
3.3” x 0.98” x 0.33” = 1.06722 cubic inches

verdict: N200 is bigger than the shuffle

N200:
0.8 ounce + 0.405650562 ounce (1 AAA battery) = 1.205650562 ounces

shuffle:
0.78 ounce

verdict: N200 is heavier than the shuffle

I like how the ips and all ipods in general dont have huge logos on the front of them.  I think that new ribbed ips silicone case (the A rated one) looks crappy because of that stuid logo on the front.

More precisely, this lack of quality, overall cheapness and absence of any semblance of workmanship, is typical of Taiwanese/Chinese made trash like this.

Crap seems to be the hallmark of the quick buck sleezoids from China. Funny how, for a communist country, they’re so inundated with fly-by-night profiteer types.

Like several others noted here already, are we supposed to be surprised? Typical, typical, typical.

I can’t believe Apple hasn’t tried to shut them down anyways.

To everyone dissing Chinese manufacture maybe you should remember that apple (Asus) makes most of its stuff, (including iPods) in China.

Oh come on. No one can be that gullible.

The only reason legitimate companies like Apple manufacture in China is because of the cheap labor to be had there. Cheap labor that exists because the economy and standard of living for the average Chinese is so low, thanks to the corrupt political system and government officials there who get rich at the expense of the general populace. Pretty funny for a government that calls itself the “People’s Republic”.

There may actually be some legitimate companies in the tech industry who actually develop their own innovative products, but the REALITY is that virtually the only claim to fame China has in electronics and industry is that it can make stuff cheap.

The TRUTH is, a great many of the companies in those fields are there to make a quick buck by STEALING the ideas and R&D investments of other companies by reverse engineering other people’s products, then making a cheaper (in both quality and function) version and flood the market with their sub-standard crap and prices far below the real deal. Just look at this piece of junk “Super Shuffle”. This is typical of what goes on there.

Again, are we supposed to be surprised that this shuffle knock-off is a piece of crap? Look at the record and the answer is obvious.

Why are you even dissing China when Taiwan is the one putting this crappy #### of a product out? You must remember, Taiwan is not part of China, so you can just join Richard Gere.

China is not a communist country. If you actually read Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto, you would know that it is just a utopian dream. China has a government, thus it is not an anarchy. Learn the definition of communism before you label one country “Communist” because it is not possibly attainable. Plus, China is now capitalist.

And it seems like you, jinzo-ningen, have something against China, way beyond some “Super Shuffle.” Maybe you should start attacking Taiwan for this, not China.

Back to the topic, I never supported this product from the beginning. It actually makes me happy to see that this thing actually “failed.”
