pic Apple’s iPod shuffle a little too plain for your taste? The Crystalshuffle is a custom made iPod shuffle encrusted with Swarovski crystals. Like its big sister the Crystalmini, the product is handcrafted with hundreds of high quality Swarovski crystals, and comes in five colors and designs. The Crystalshuffle
is available in Aquamarine (blue), Peridot (green), and Light Rose (pink) in 512MB and 1GB sizes for $299 and $349, respectively. It also comes in Flower Power and Light Rose/Peridot Zebra in 1GB sizes only for $529.

$529 for a 1GB flash player?  I have seen it all.  Hell just froze over.

That’s it.  We’re done here, people.  First we had the cardboard shuffle case with rubber bands, and now this.

I’ve seen people pay over $500 for jewelry that doesn’t even play music! I’m serious! I don’t get it, personally.

Anyone that buys this needs another hobby… like donating that wasted cash to the poor. The crackheads at CrystalShuffle need to put down the pipe and take a swig of Reality: Nobody is going to spend $500 on a Shuffle that retails for $99! And you want $500 for fake a$$ “crystal” rhinestones?!? For $500 it better be a Hope Diamond!

OMG ... they’re cute but come on ... that’s just way too much to ask.  I would at least expect diamond chips to adorn the case, not crystals.

Besides, why the huge price difference between the Shuffle 512MB and the 1GB crystal cases?  Aren’t the players the same size (or close to it)?

Anyone who gets this done has a bad case of too much money, too little sense…

well…people use them like a fashion accessory, like when thousands paid $200 for Jordans, or $400 for armani/prada shoes.  Also, they ARE crystal and not rhinestone.  If you’re pulling the “i’d donate that money to the poor” arguement, you DO have an ipod right?  you dont “NEED” one, now do you?  You’re life won’t END without an ipod, business is business, if people didn’t buy it, they wouldn’t be in business right?  ...hypocrites.

I can’t imagine wearing this at all, then again my life is more work & urban than party. They are overpriced, especially since you couldn’t seriously have this as your primary player. It’s a going out thing - but surely the point of going out is to socialise rather than to shut yourself off with your headphones? However, the Swarovski creative department seem more interested in the mechanics of sticking crystals on to anything and everything than wondering why the hell they’re doing so. Lucky for them there are so many people in the world who can’t resist shiny things.

that is useless. and i think money like that should be donated.  and ipod isn’t necessary, but it gives you lots of music when you need it. you don’t really need crystals on your shuffle at all.  Pam, the 1GB is $50 more because the actual shuffle is $50 more, so either way, you’re paying $200 for the crystals.

Come on, people. We live in a day and age where people will spend 200K for a car. Get over it. Just because it’s not your thing does’nt mean it is’nt someone else’s. Also, I checked the site. They have ltd. edition mini’s with breast cancer ribbons. 10% of the cost goes to research.
Get off your high horse or go give your iPod to a homeless person.

You can buy bags of genuine Swarovski crystals for like $10, with 2 or three bags providing plenty to cover the shuffle. Just stick them on yourself.

Deepshallows ... Thanks for the clarification ... I was under the impression that these were cases, not the actual ipod ... a duh moment for me.  raspberry The more I look at these, I think they are really cute ... the Breast Cancer one is great ... I’d buy that for the cause if I had the $$$.  Pam smile

Some of you people have no concept of the price of diamonds…unless you want those hideous yellow ones you can buy at sketchy mall jewelers.  *coughPeople’scough*

Anyway, I find Swarovski crystals to be quite high quality and pleasant to look at, and though I probably wouldn’t buy an iPod covered in them I do like their jewelry a lot (much much cheaper than diamonds and still well cut and genuine crystal…nothing cheap or rhinestone-like about it).  Besides, the concept of sticking crystals on things is nothing new…people have had crystal covered cellphones for a while now and I don’t see why a crystal covered iPod is any more or less ridiculous, though it is completely understandable that it is not everyone’s style/in everyone’s budget.  Just like many other things you can throw cash at these days.
