iPod Skins and iSport cases now shipping
Speck Products had recently announced new iPod Skins, iSport and Flip-Stand cases for new iPods. Today the new iPod Skins and iSport cases are now shipping. The iPod Skin ($18.95) is a case similar to popular Silicone cases, but the iPod Skin is made from DynaFlex elastomer plastic and one size fits all new iPod models (10, 15 and 30GB). A flip-lid on the bottom of the case allows access to the FireWire port for syncing or charging. The iSport ($44.95) is a belt case made for active users, provides extra pouches for storage of small items and also features a safety light for increased visibitly day or night. Also note that Speck Products’ new, all-clear, Flip-Stand hardcase/stand ships July 22nd and costs $29.95.

I got the iPod iSkin in the mail today. Not too bad quality wise. I didn’t like that with this case you can’t use the little white plug/cover for the dock port on the iPod’s bottom (The case has a built in plug)
The flip open case works well, and allows the iPod to connect with the dock without getting in the way at all.

Now that it is ready to be shipped I would like to see some real photos and not a computer simulation of what it could look like – with the bottom open and most important of all how the crease in the front of the case disappears after you position the case back to its original position after 30 times of opening and closing of the case. I am ready to buy it if it looks as smooth as the computer simulation looks.

hmm, the only question i have is does it stick to your pocket when you try to pull it out of your pants. i only carry my ipod in my pocket and wonder if this type of case will hinder my ability of removing it from my pocket.

this kind of skin from the Speck products are suck. I would recommend everybody not to buy it. It’s so hard to put the Ipod into the new skin. And it doesn’t have the belt clip. Also, it looks uglier than the pix on their website. The bottom line is it’s realy sux.

The case is ok, it is sized for all the new ipods so I find it a little loose on the 15gig, it may fit nice and snug on the 30 gig though. It is good quality and it doesn’t seem like the bending will cause a crease or break.

Namor, u dun have a 30G so u dunno how i’m feeling rite now. Maybe it’s a little bit loose for the 10G, but it’s hella tight for the 30G. One more thing, how long it takes you to put on those skins to your Ipod. Guess not dat long, bcuz u said it’s loose. Anyway, it’s still sux. Or you wanna buy 3 extra cases, i can sell it to you for 15$, anybody wanna take a shot ?

Goes in and out of my pocket no problem. Took me all of 15 seconds to get my 30gb iPod into it. I don’t think it sucks one bit. Nice little cheap case.

Just ordered exo (iskin) from iskinusa.com, bought their product before. What I like is they do not believe in one size fits all. Now they have a belt clip and screen protector, what else could I ask for. Take a look at their site, I understand they are the number one selling case for iPod.

Does anyone have a 15gb iPod and received this case? I want to know if the crease closes on the 15gb iPod or if it doesn’t like on a 15gb. I also want to know if the 15gb slides out because it is loose or is firmly tucked in.

I meant 30gb for the crease thing

I heard this one size for both 10/15 and 30gb has some problems, when you stretch it to fit the position of the holes also stretches. I am sure it is a good case otherwise
