iPod, you Pod, everybody iPod
“The Apple iPod is just about the size of a pack of cigarettes, and just about as addictive.
‘Oh, it’s so addictive — it’s my new crack,’ jokes Kawan Prather of College Park, a senior vice president of Sony Records.
For people who have one, the iPod is a status badge, a fashion statement and an obsession. The sleekly designed little pocket jukebox holds up to 10,000 songs individually selected by the user and is insanely portable and easy to use — a mix of minimalism and maximum enjoyment. Perched right on the cutting edge of cool, it’s also crossed over into the realm of cute with the new line of pastel-colored Mini iPods.”

People who thnk the iPod is a fashion statement or anything more than an mp3 player need to die, or at least get a freaking life.

Hey, screw off, someone! It’s a pretty good portable hard drive, too.
And it helps hold papers down if it’s windy…

You know, usually when you post a newspaper/magazine/online story, you should include an attribution, or at the very least, a title.
You know, like “...the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Phil Kloer wrote in ‘Me, myself and iPod’...”

Now if I didn’t have a Mac as well I would be annoyed. Kawan Prather should try use one of Sony’s copy protected CD on a Windoze machine. Shame the Mac just ignores it and it rips anyway :D

What is the point of blasting a news item merely for its inclusion on this site? If its subject does not interest you then why don’t you pass it by?
I found the article entertaining despite the annoying and repeated wrong pricing of the top iPod model. I found it useful to know, in case I was ever tempted by a Seth Godin book, that he is a clueless dolt. And, most informative of all, that a senior vice president of Sony is, or was, a crack addict. That explains a lot.
