iPods more popular than beer among college students
The iPod has surpassed beer drinking as the most “in” thing among college students, according to the latest study by Student Monitor. The market researcher found that 73 percent of the 1,200 students surveyed said iPods were “in.” Drinking beer and social networking website Facebook.com tied for second most popular with 71 percent of positive votes from students. The “in” list also included text messaging, bar hopping and downloading music. Student Monitor said the only other time beer was temporarily dethroned in the 18 years of the survey was in 1997 by the Internet.

That’s because college students drink crappy beer. If a fine Belgian lager was available at the dive across from campus instead of Natural Ice, beer would never be dethroned.

As long as Steve Jobs doesn’t claim the iPod is more popular than Jesus Christ then I think we’ll be okay.

The poll I saw (not sure if it was the same one) made students choose one favorite off of a list… there was no option for choosing both ipod and beer, or whatever the no more than six other options were. Pretty bogus “poll.”

I think iPods are more popular than Jesus Christ. If I"m wrong now, I"ll be right in ten years. Technology will defently be more popular than any religion. Maybe it"ll be a new religion you never know. P.S. Beer is more popular than both.
