iPods push Amazon.com to best holiday season ever
With iPods dominating its electronics section, Amazon.com said that this year’s holiday shopping season was its best ever. The online retailer said the black 4GB iPod nano, the black 30GB video iPod and the 512MB iPod shuffle were the top three best-selling electronics products. Amazon also said more than 108 million items were ordered for the holiday season, noting that its busiest day was December 12th, when 3.6 million items, or 41 items per second, were ordered.

I would have bought my 5G ipod off amazon, but i didn’t trust them to deliver it, and i wanted it NOW.

Personally, I buy all my ipods—five and counting—from my local Apple store. That way if something goes wrong, I want to be able to take it back to the store and talk to a live body. Hasn’t happened yet but I just want to play it safe.
I did buy my ER6i’s earphones from Amazon, though, for two reasons: I couldn’t find them locally and Amazon had them at a really great price.
I buy a fair number of books via Amazon but it’s not like anything can really go wrong with a book.
In any case, I don’t mean to knock anyone who buys their ipod(s) from Amazon or anywhere else. To each his own.
