iPods selling “like hot cakes” in UK
“Hundreds of desperate shoppers missed out when the new portable digital music players vanished from the high street before Christmas.
And it doesn’t look like its popularity is on the wane - not only are they still flying off the shelves, Apple also has a new mini version on sale in the US, which is set to hit the shops here in April. [...]
“They’re like hot cakes. We get them in stores and they sell out immediately. We’re working really hard to get more stock,” says Kellie Evans, spokeswoman for Dixons.”

i live in UK and i duno wot the situation is in the USA but before christmas it would be about 1 in 20 people you would see wearing the supplied headphones, meaning iPod user, now i wud say its about 1 in 4, its mad!.
i don’t like usin the standard ‘phones tho,as it shouts to criminals who are obviously becoming more aware of them and itll be iPods they steal. and now almost everyone knows about them cos theyve been in the news so much here…for good and bad (theyre saying ALL iPods have deffecient batteries)
