iPodStyles has announced its Crystal iPod Hard Case for 20GB fourth-generation iPods. The case is a clear, hard plastic case “specially designed to protect the iPod and yet showcase the beauty of the device in all its glory,” says the store. “The case is totally clear and adds a touch of class to any 20GB iPod or iPod U2 and protects the device and the screen from knocks and other bumps that normal daily life entails.” The Crystal case sells for $19.99 and has openings for the Click Wheel, Dock Connector port, and headphone jack.

Is this for the 20GB Monochrome or the 20GB Color iPod? Their website doesn’t state either way, and product page has a small icon of the 20GB color and 20GB U2 color, although they don’t list the 30GB photo, which should be the same thickness.

$19.99?! Yikes! Another case, probably made in China for dirt cheap.... I’d get one if they didn’t cost so much!

The 30GB photo is not the same size as the 20 GM color, monochrome, or U2 versions. It is just a little bigger. Hard plastic cases made for the 20 GB versions will not fit the 30 GB photo unless there is a separate version made for the 30.

The new color 20 gig and the 30gig photo have the exact same dimensions so I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit a 30 gig photo. I have the 30 gig photo’s box right in front of me and it’s dimensions read the exact same as the new 20 gigs on apple’s website.

I hope ipodlounge...err iLounge… does a review of this. I’ve been looking for a more compact hard case ‘cause I am getting kind of bored of my Contour Showcase as it’s rather bulky.

Does anyone know if a iPod mini version is going to come out?

I have a Agent 18 hard-case for my iPod 30GB Photo. It seems exactly the same as this, and costs just as much. -I really like it, too.
-And they make a really nice hard-case for the Mini too; seems like they make some nice products.

When did ipodlounge become ilounge? Are they worried about a suit from apple for using the word iPod?
