iSkin rolls out eVo3 case for iPod classic

iSkin has introduced its eVo3 classic case for the iPod classic. The eVo3 classic is a silicone case with a ViSOR scratch-resistant, snap-on hard screen protector, and features the revoClip3 rotary belt clip, integrated earphone and Dock Connector port covers, built-in Click Wheel protection, and an eVoGrip textured surface for added grip. The iSkin eVo3 classic is available now in Eclipse (solid black) and Arctic (clear frosted), and sells for $35.

Will this model actually work with the new iPod classic or will it disable the clickwheel altogether like the other new iSkin did?

The ISkin website claims the eVo3 will not inhibit use of the clickwheel.

Given the finicky nature of the clickwheel, I can’t imagine that ANY covering would allow it to still function.  That said, I was always a fan of the iSkin cases before the evo4 fiasco.

Now, THAT said, I’ll wait til someone else tries it first.

Take Care,

I have had this case in the black and have been using it extensively for the past several days with my black 80gb Ipod classic and I can say that it doesn’t inhibit the use of the click wheel at all with regular use or with games as I’ve played Sonic the Hedgehog with it and had no problems with sensitivity. The visor is clear as glass and the ports are all very accessible. Overall a great ipod protective case.
