iTrip Hacked

iPoding has posted information and photos after having hacked Griffin’s iTrip FM transmitter to work with docking iPods.

“First we tried just hardwiring iTrip to the Docking iPod’s remote.  This was problematic due to the way grounding is done in the current iTrip and suggests, at least, a minor change (since iTrip works great with Classic iPods) in how the Docking iPods deal with the remote.  To solve the problem we powered iTrip independently using a couple of AA cells.”

We feel so exposed…

If you really want an iTrip for the new iPod just give us a few more weeks and we’ll ‘hook you up’. Till then, don’t even think about returning our beautiful iTrip all ripped up and mangled because you tried to do it yourself first ;)
