SlashDot reports that in less than 24 hours someone in Australia has cracked the new authentication algorithm in iTunes 4.5. “iTunes 4.5 uses a new authentication algorithm. However, not even 24 hours after I downloaded it, and that includes a little sleep and lots of uni time, I’ve broken it. Hah. Anyhow, libopendaap 0.2.0 and tunesbrowser 0.1.4 are now available.”

See Australia does good things for the world. We don’t just go and declare war on other people for no reason.

Amazing how so many fools actually manage to navigate to this site, and actually post useless comments too.
Well done kids!!!

“It reminds me of the utter joy anti-Mac folks had a few weeks back in the “discovery” of the first OS X virus”
The fact that a script kiddie was interested enough to bother creating an OSX trojan shows thatthe Macs market share has grown from utterly insignificant to slightly noticeable.
Therefore as a Mac owner I’d see the existence of specially targetted OSX trojans and viruses as a positive sign!
They are like a popularity contest - the more high-profile, visible, and dominating your platform, the more people are going to target it. Just look at Windows!

Adam, don’t be a douche. you have forgotten that australia is a worthless land that was and still should be an island prison for all of the dirtiest of people. in fact, all these nations that america is doing a civil service by attacking should just be transplanted to australia, because that is where the scum of the earth belongs.
also, thats great that itunes 4.5 has been cracked, but when is mytunes or an equivalent for 4.5 going to come out?
