iTunes Music Store UK launching mid-June?
“Apple could be ready to launch its iTunes Music Store (ITMS) in Europe by the middle of June, sources said to be familiar with the company’s plans have claimed.
They reckon that the Mac maker may now have secured licences from the major labels and others it needs in order to open ITMS to UK and other European buyers.
Separately, we’ve heard the date 4 July bandied about, though since the date is far more relevant to the US than it is to Europe, it seems an odd choice, if correct.”

Likewise I live in the Channel Islands but had known about the lower case postcode tip so was able to purchase hundreds of tunes for well over a year - until my credit card expired and it now says the iTunes store is not available in my region. How ridiculous when I’ve spent a good deal of money over the past year and a half with no problems whatsoever yet now I can no longer. I shall now have to download elsewhere, taking my money with me

I had to set this up for my mother… I entered my uk postcode and it got past that step. It then said the phone number was invalid, I entered 039 in the first box and everything is ok.
