This doesn’t even seem remotely fair for anyone but the one person who gets there first.
Someone with 40 instances of itunes open (multiple desktops support this…)
could take all 40 codes and input them in a matter of 2 minutes or less.
I would think it better if you sent in an email to win a code.
Posting them just won’t seem fair to everyone.

Good point.
First 40 emails get a number.

well the way i read it seems that it wont be given to the copy and paste champion…i believe since it says that you must be a member that there is another method of fairly distribuiting the codes…am i right or am i just really stupid…?
any mods know the method of givaway

I didn’t think this was going to be this complicated or be considered this “unfair”.
Here is how you “win” the codes:
1. Load the webpage at 7PM.
2. Copy code
3. Paste it into the Redeem Code section in iTunes
4. Repeat
This is the EXACT same way it’s been happening in the forums threads here and at MacAddict.

As an aside, I can no longer access certain aspects of the Music Store: gift certificates, Pepsi redeeming, basically anything to do with downloading a song.
Am I right in guessing all other users from Canada have been thus blocked out? I guess this would mean that I can’t participate in this content.
That’s really a shame.

Gheesk, this is just for fun. Rather odd, but should be fun. If not fair, so be it. I don’t think there is any law that says a private web site needs to be 100% fair in any game or marketing they decide to do.

Especially since it’s not an official giveaway or anything. Come on guys. These are codes that we have spent our own money collecting and we are just GIVING them away!
It’s supposed to be fun…

You don’t need to live in ther states to use the codes. It works the same as gift certificates. Just enter the code through the website.

It used to be that way. It doesn’t work anymore, at least for me.

I can’t believe some of you guys are whining about this contest. How’s this for fair? They throw the caps away and then you have even less of a chance of getting one of the codes….exactly 0%...

It’s great to be in Canada! Although we can’t buy music from the iTunes Music Store, it is perfectly legal here to make a copy of a CD for private use. So let’s see…
US: 99 cents per song
Canada: free!!!!

I tried all day..every time a code was posted I tried to enter it and I always got ‘invalid code’ or ‘that code was used’ yadda….
How the hell could 15 codes be redemmed in 3 seconds?
