iLounge has learned that Jawbone plans on adding a new, larger model to its Jambox speaker lineup. Called the Jambox Big, the follow-up to the company’s prior Jambox will retail for $300, and will be available in three colors—anthracite, red, and white. Jambox Big is expected to continue the earlier unit’s combination of rubber and textured metal design elements, with wireless speaker hardware inside. We have reached out to Jawbone for further details on the product and will update this article with further details.

where is this rumor from?
I already heard a similar rumor from a guy at Soundmatters who had seen Jawbone’s prototype about a year ago. Unfortunately he couldn’t tell me any details except that the bigger Jambox is still based on Soundmatters acoustic design and should be about the size of an average clock radio.
Meanwhile I already bought the new Bose Soundlink which really wipes the floor with the Jambox, so I am not that interested in buying the big Jambox anymore, but I am still curious to see what Jawbone will come up with and if it can compete with Bose.
