Never mind the Docking Station - that App looks incredible! This is the functionality the iPhone/iPad lock screen *should* have. Android phones can do this. Symbian^1 phones can do this. Why not iOS devices? (I bet if we do see this from Apple, it won’t be until iOS 5.x at least!)

Farnsworth…if you follow the link to the product page it says that the dock comes with a free app that provides these functions.

#2 you missed the point. The iOS lock screen should provide this app’s functionality, as is the case for Android and Symbian phones.
Also, it looks like Kensington will have to up their game - the app for their “Nightstand Charging Dock” seems so plain and limited now.
Finally, have either Kensington or Jensen (or any of the GPS providers, for that matter) studied the impact of these long-running apps on iDevice screen life?

My iPhone lock screen gives me the time, the only thing extra on this is the current weather, hmmm try looking up from the screen and out the window
Of course other phones do give some useful information on the lock screen, I’ve just never understood why they all show the current weather, as that’s not particularly useful

Has there been any update on when Jensen will make this available? I can pre-order on Amazon, but I don’t know if it will be weeks, months or years, for that matter.

“hmmm try looking up from the screen and out the window “
I can’t tell what the temperature is outside by looking out the window. Waking up and seeing the outdoor temp IS useful for me anyway.
