Live iLounge Coverage of iPod Rock and Roll Event: 9/9, 10 a.m. PT

image

iLounge editors are currently en route to San Francisco to bring you live coverage of Apple’s Rock and Roll media event, which is scheduled to begin tomorrow, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. As with past iLounge live events, the frontpage of iLounge.com will switch over to our leaner Live Event page several minutes before the event starts. Apple is widely expected to announce its fall 2009 iPod lineup during the event, with a new version of iTunes and the launch of The Beatles’ catalog on the iTunes Store also possibilities. We look forward to having you join us for our live coverage.

Updated: iLounge editors are now arriving in San Francisco; continue reading for a larger look at the outside of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater, which has been decorated in preparation for tomorrow’s event.

And we saved some of the best weather for the iLounge staff while you’re out here. So if the event is a let-down, head on over to Tiburon and have a nice meal at Guaymas, you won’t be disappointed! :D

I see the clickwheel is no longer a feature of the silhouette…does that spell the end of the Classic?

What exactly is the Live Event Page? Is it updated by text? Or will it be a live video? Im just curious, either way I’ll be spectating from my touch while on campus.

The live page is all well and good, but I hope they send their updates to Twitter too. What’s the point in having a Twitter account and not tweeting from a live event?

In one swift move Apple have taken with one hand and hardly given us anything in return with the other (in the ipod touch department that is) i’m disappointed with todays out come.

Also whats with having to pay for ipod touch 3.1? i have a 16GB first gen so i gain nothing from this!
