Mac: getTunes 2.3 released

getTunes is a Mac version of myTunes, a small application that allows users to download music from local Rendezvous-shared music libraries (instead of streaming the songs). Don’t steal music.

What’s new in this version:

Compatibility with iTunes 4.5 only
Resizable window
Re-implement “name - album - artist” filenames
Better scrolling

License: Freeware
System Requirements: iTunes 4.5. (the necessary BSD subsystem is installed by default when you install OS X)

You’ll recall that the author lost the only copy of the MyTunes source code in a massive Windoze crash, and doesn’t want to rewrite the damn thing. Too funny for words.

Weird. I had a dead hard drive last month too.
I think apple’s secretly using iTunes to spy and destroy drives.

Big Jim—

Somehow, I hadn’t heard.  That explains a lot, though… Darn… that really sucks.  :-D
